Tottenham climb out of bottom three

Tottenham moved out of the Premier League's bottom three with a 1-0 victory over ten man Blackburn. The visitors had defender Martin Olsson sent off on 39 minutes following a second yellow card for twice bringing down his tormentor Aaron Lennon.

It was Lennon who set up the eventual winner for Roman Pavlyuchenko to slot in on 9 minutes and the England international thanked new Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp for giving him a new lease of life.

"I've been getting better and better I think since the new boss has come in and today was probably my best performance," Lennon told Sky Sports 1.

"But it's not just me but it's everyone in general, he's given us confidence and freedom to play and I think that's it really. He's given me license to get at people and that's my game really.

"It's been a hard start to the season and now we're glad to get out of (the bottom three) again. Hopefully we can carry on and push up the table now."
