Tottenham chief Levy gave Man Utd target Lloris £18m verbal agreement

Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy reportedly has an agreement with Hugo Lloris.

Levy told Lloris he would be free to leave Spurs should the club receive an offer of £18million or more when the French goalkeeper signed a contract extension last season.

Lloris committed to a five-year contract extension last summer and was believed to be given the verbal agreement by Levy, despite Tottenham's public insistence there is no buyout clause his contract, according to reports from mirror.co.uk.

Lloris is understood to be a target for Manchester United should the Red Devils lose their current shot-stopper David De Gea to Real Madrid.

Tottenham paid £11.4million to acquire Lloris from Lyon in the summer of 2012 and it is believed the 28-year old is at the point of his career where he is determined to play Champions League football once again.
