Chilean striker Humberto Suazo is a target for Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.
The Sun says Redknapp is keen to strengthen his attack as Roman Pavlyuchenko is set to leave in January and uncertainty continues over the future of Robbie Keane who has been linked with Celtic.
Suazo, 28, is ready to make the switch after helping Monterrey win the Mexican League and wants to show he can compete at the top level.
Monterrey president Jorge Urdiales admitted: "We will listen to and discuss any offers we receive from Europe.
"We have to offer Suazo the opportunity to grow and succeed elsewhere.
"He wants to play in Europe and we will leave it down to the player and his representatives."
