Cagliari striker Albin Ekdal is attracting Premier League interest.
The young Swede netted a hat-trick against Inter Milan earlier this season and is enjoying an impressive Serie A campaign.
Sportmediaset says Ekdal's exploits have to come to the attention of Tottenham football chief Franco Baldini, who has asked Cagliari to keep him up to speed on the Swede's situation.
Cagliari are reluctant to lose their star striker and are in the process of scheduling new contract talks with his representatives.
His agent, Martin Klette, said: "Albin is ready for the next step.
"(But) until then he will do his best for Cagliari, as he has done in recent years."
The 25 year-old's current deal runs to 2016.
