Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas feels Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement announcement is a blow for football.
The Manchester United manager confirmed his plans yesterday.
AVB said: "It is definitely sad news for the world of football. It's a pity he [Sir Alex Ferguson] will move on, but they will continue to be a winning side.
"We will miss the great passion and charisma that he has and the teams that he has built.
"The legacy he leaves us with is a great example of how determination and passion can pay off when you work hard.
"What we won't forget is the memories that Sir Alex leaves us.
"He is a great example [to follow] in football and in life and he is somebody we should look up to."
