Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp hit out at Teddy Sheringham after their FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.
Unhappy White Hart Lane legend Sheringham accused his former club of "lacking fight" and "looking happy to be out of the FA Cup" after their disappointing 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.
Spurs boss Harry fumed: "It was very harsh and very unfair to say what Teddy said. I don't know what game he was watching. It is absolute rubbish to say we didn't try and I am disappointed to hear people like Teddy say things like that.
"We had some very tired players who played extra time at Burnley on Wednesday night and we are struggling with fit players. Everybody wants to jump on the Tottenham bandwagon at the moment and say: 'Tottenham are this and Tottenham are that'.
"We didn't get beat 6-1. We got beat 2-1 and had one or two opportunities to get a draw. I was happy with the effort today."
