Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has dismissed talk of selling Jermain Defoe to QPR.

The 29-year-old has started just three league games for Tottenham this season and has been linked with a move away from the club in January.

But Redknapp said: "I wouldn't sell him. No way. We had a reserve game in midweek and he scored five against Charlton.

"I spoke to him in the week and I had a chat with him. He will get his opportunities and when they come along he'll take them."
