Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was pleased with Sandro's performance in their Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal.

Starting in central midfield, Sandro covered every blade of grass against a strong Gunners midfield including the likes of Tomas Rosicky, Denilson and Jack Wilshere.

"It was his first game in England, the pace of the game would have been different and he did a great job, he worked really hard," Redknapp told the Spurs website.

"I like him, he looks a good player. He's full of energy and gets around the pitch. I think he'll be a good player for us."
