Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has dismissed claims chairman Daniel Levy is refusing to buy players for him because of his England ambitions.
With Redknapp the strong favourite to take over the England job after Euro 2012, the chairman may be unwilling to buy players for someone who won't be at the club in 12 months.
"That can't be right," said Redknapp told the London Evening Standard. "Are we supposed to have a c*** season or something? I have never discussed that with him.
"Who knows where anyone is going to be next year? It's a year off and I'm happy at Tottenham and only looking to be successful here. I want to build a team that is going to keep doing well this year, next year and after."
