Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has ruled out David Beckham for their clash with Manchester United.
The former England captain is reckoned to be well short of the fitness level needed to compete in the Premier League.
After the midfielder's first day training with Spurs, manager Harry Redknapp revealed: "Manchester United this Sunday would be a non-starter even if he does sign. He is not fit to play yet and he knows that. It's going to take him a few weeks to get back to anywhere near the fitness levels he's used to."
Spurs want Beckham on loan from Galaxy until mid-March. Yet, so far, the MLS side are sticking to their original demand that he reports back on February 10, following the mid-season shutdown in America.
