Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is adamant Luka Modric is not going to Chelsea.
The 26-year-old received a rousing reception when he came on as a first-half substitute during Tottenham's 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
The transfer saga over the player's future may run until the transfer window shuts at the end of the month, with Chelsea thought to be mulling over whether to return with an improved offer of over £30million.
Redknapp has continually stated that he wants to hold on to the player and he repeated that stance on Saturday night, saying: "We are not going to sell our best players, the likes of Modric and (Gareth) Bale. We're looking to sell some fringe players but we have had no takers."
