New Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has revealed Manchester City made an approach for his services during the summer.
The former Sevilla manager was officially confirmed as Martin Jol's successor on Saturday evening after months of speculation.
However Ramos has revealed Tottenham were not the only club who attempted to lure him to England.
"I have always dreamed of working in England and this is the right moment to make that leap," he told the Sunday Mirror.
"Manchester City wanted me to join them in the summer. At the time that move was impossible. Now Spurs have made their approach and I have accepted it."
