Sissoko was captured on Deadline Day from Newcastle in a £30million deal while Wanyama signed from Southampton for just £11milion.
Pochettino likened his side to a car given a huge boost to its driving force by his new arrivals.
He said: “It's like when you build your own car and put in different options.
“I think Wanyama and Sissoko are not only strong, big guys, they can play good football too. They have very good skill. It's a good balance."
