Tottenham ace James Maddison admits he's enjoying his football under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Both men are new to the club this season.

"Ange has been brilliant, a breath of fresh air to be honest," said Maddison. "He is a proper man, really respectful, a proper leader, really good at motivation, motivating his players.

"I think one of the best I have seen or come across in football just in terms of week to week you don't really hear as much of him as recent managers I have had. He won't necessarily take all the training sessions, he has his coaching staff, but when we do the meetings, getting close to game day, just his meetings and his messages on the pitch.

"He is the type of guy that when he starts talking you listen, you don't look anywhere else. [It is] quite hard to explain until you have been in there.

"He has been brilliant and brilliant for me you know, coming to a new club you kind of need that from the manager to make you feel at home as early as possible and he kind of did that for me, and for him being in new as well, and for him to do that with the new signings and the players that who are currently there is a credit to him."
