Tottenham ace James Maddison says Aston Villa couldn't live with them on Sunday.

Spurs won 4-0 at Villa Park.

Maddison said: "It feels as big as any other three points but we knew there would be a lot on today's game just because of the nature of the league table.

"[I'm] really happy, you see the celebrations because we work all week. We had a game plan and we came away with three points with a convincing win.

"It's a common theme in our game, we score a lot of goals late on. The message was to keep doing the same thing because they won't be able to keep up.

"We blew them away at the start of the second half.

"Game-by-game, sorry for the boring cliché answer. That's all you can do. You have to focus on winning the game."
