Liverpool legend John Toshack fears the club are still coming to terms with last season's title collapse.
Liverpool are currently 7th in the League after a mixed start and are coming off the back of two consecutive defeats.
"I still think they're feeling the effects of that a little bit," Toshack told BCC Radio 4.
"They went so close after being so long without winning that championship.
"I still think there's a bit of a hangover there, it's a bitter pill to swallow."
