Toronto FC's Preki remaining positive despite fruitless start

Toronto FC coach Preki is remaining positive despite the fact his side has dropped their first two matches this season.

On opening weekend, the Reds were beaten 2-0 away by Columbus Crew and then suffered a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of the New England Revolution last weekend but the former USA international is confident the players will pick the performances up in the coming weeks.

"I see, day in and day out, that these guys are putting a lot of hard work in here. They want to be successful. If I was seeing a different attitude and a different mentality, then certainly I would be worried," Preki said.

Toronto take on expansion franchise Philadelphia Union at home tonight and Preki expects a much better showing.

"Let's not put our heads down because we have two bad results," Preki added. "Let's build on the things that were positive and let's make sure that, instead of 45 [minutes], we play 90 minutes with the proper attitude and commitment."
