Leeds United are taking on FIFA to seal a deal for Paul Dickov.
The Sunday Mirror says Dickov is a free agent after being released by Leicester but he has played for two clubs, Derby being the other, this season and FIFA rules prevent from signing for a third.
But Leeds have taken legal advice because they feel Dickov is facing a restraint of trade as he is no longer under contract.
Now Leeds are considering following Portsmouth's lead and asking FIFA to waive the ruling. The Scot has been trialling in Canada this past week with Canada's Toronto FC.
