Toronto FC coach John Carver believes his team deserved their equalizer against Columbus Crew this weekend even though it was an own goal. Speaking to reporters following the game, Carver said: "Although we got a great point it wasn't a great performance. But it was a gritty performance and one that [because] we stayed in there and stuck with it we got ourselves back in the game with a bit of fortune.

"You need that fortune since there will be plenty of times when it goes against you."
