Fiorentina has been knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Torino in a shock 1-0 result. Torino, with Walter Novellino in charge of his second match since replacing Gianni De Biasi, lost 4-1 to Fiorentina less than two weeks ago in the Serie A.

However a goal by Rolando Bianchi in the 19th minute gave Torino the lead which they were able to maintain until the end of the match, despite constant pressure from the Fiorentina attack.

Torino now play Lazio in the Quarter-Finals in February.
