Torino edge ahead of Chelsea in race for Watford attacker Roberto Pereyra

Torino have expressed interest in Watford attacker Roberto Pereyra.

Toro coach Walter Mazzarri, formerly of Watford, has recommended the Argentine's signing, says Tuttosport.

The stumbling block will be Watford's valuation, with Pereyra rated in the €40m class.

Pereyra has also made it clear he would only consider a Toro move if they secure European football for next season.

The former Juventus attacker is also interesting Chelsea, though everything will hinge on whether they can overturn or delay their transfer ban this summer.
