Torino assistant coach Matteo Paro says they were delighted after Monday's 1-0 win against Lecce.

Toro won 1-0 thanks to Ivan Vlasic's goal.

Paro stood in due to the absence of coach Ivan Juric and explained: "We heard from him after the game, he was happy. Unfortunately he got pneumonia, he is being treated and it seems to be fine: we hope to have him back on the pitch soon."

"We knew it would be complicated, Lecce defended themselves with pace and restarted well while we struggled to turn the ball with so many technical errors.

"In the second half, the team expressed themselves better and we won more tackles. We played an excellent match against a team that we had studied and that had put the big players in difficulty.

"The boys have to continue like this, we have a lot of margins on details. They are victories that help and lift morale, now a great team like Inter is waiting for us and we will measure ourselves."
