Toni Kroos was thrilled with his Real Madrid signing ceremony on Thursday. The former Bayern Munich midfielder admits being bowled over by the response.
"It made me very happy, I was very proud. I'm absolutely convinced that it's the right choice and today just reaffirmed my decision. Everyone has been very friendly towards me, I've liked everything so far. Meeting the fans was very special and reaffirmed to me that I've made the right decision," Kroos told Real Madrid TV.
"In my opinion, Real Madrid are the biggest club there is. That's why I was sure I wanted to join them. They were my first and only choice and everything went according to plan.
Regarding his conversation with boss Carlo Ancelotti, he said: "He told me that he was pleased I was here, that the transfer had gone to plan, that he was very pleased I'd decided to join Real Madrid and that he hoped to see me in training on 5th August."
