Former Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni says Pep Guardiola will coach in Italy.

The Manchester City manager played with Toni at Brescia.

“He'll go to Italy at some point," Toni told Tuttosport.

“He loves challenges and when it was known that he'd go to Manchester City the following season, he told me he wanted to return to Serie A as a Coach.

“Where do I see him? Roma because he played for them and remains tied to them or Juventus, who are now the No 1 club [in the Italy].

“I think it's difficult for Guardiola to move to Juventus this summer, even if in football the confirmations are only for the moment and anything can happen until the last one.

“Top Coaches depend on the market [to move]: now things seem stuck, but then maybe a surprise bench becomes available and a domino effect is triggered.

“I rate Allegri but if he decided to leave, I certainly expect another big-name Coach to join Juventus.

“Guardiola, as long as he wanted to leave City, wouldn't surprise me as a choice."
