Luca Toni believes Gonzalo Higuain will star for AC Milan this season.
Indeed, the World Cup winner is backing Higuain to outshine new Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
“CR7 is a signing from the 90s," Toni, twice Capocannoniere during his career, told Tuttosport.
“With Ronaldo, Juventus also pushed other clubs to have big transfer campaigns. Inter worked really well, they took [Stefan] De Vrij and [Kwadwo] Asamoah on a free transfer, then [Radja] Nainggolan, Keita [Baldé]…
“Meanwhile, Higuain will give Milan a leap in quality. Ronaldo, Higuain and Icardi could all get 30 goals in the league.
“It'll be a beautiful fight, the former is a superstar and the two Argentines are animals in the penalty box.
“A prediction? Pipita Capocannoniere."
