Former Danish star Jon Dahl Tomasson rates Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen ahead of Luka Modric.

For many, Real Madrid ace Modric is the best midfielder in the world.

But Tomasson insists Eriksen is now performing the better of the two: "If you put the two players against each other, I'd rather have Christian, he is a better player in my eyes."

Eriksen and Modric will face-off in the World Cup round of 16 as Denmark meet Croatia.
