Chelsea are in advanced talks with AS Monaco for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Foot Mercato says Chelsea are stepping up negotiations after Nemanja Matic resisted a proposal to open new contract talks.

Matic is eager to make a move to Manchester United and Chelsea have identified Bakayoko as a replacement.

Chelsea have tabled a five-year contract to the ASM star and are prepared to pay €42 million for the Ivory Coast ace.

However, Bakayoko is refusing to commit until he sees manager Antonio Conte sign a new deal with the Blues.
