Tiatto and Reinaldo injuries to add more Roar pain

Injuries to key Queensland Roar players Danny Tiatto and Reinaldo have not come at a good time for the club. Midfielder Tiatto was substituted off the pitch after 28 minutes in Saturday night's rain-soaked match against the Melbourne Victory, a suspected fractured foot being the reason.

Brazilian striker Reinaldo is also under a cloud with a supposed bout of osteitis pubis.

Roar physio Tony Ganter was bracing for the worst. Speaking to goldcoast.com.au, he said, "The worst case scenario is that both could be pushing to get back for the season.

"In Danny's case, it could take up to eight weeks for the fracture to heal, then you have to get back to match fitness, which wouldn't allow him any time at all.

"It's a wait-and-see approach with him," Ganter said of Reinaldo.

"We'll see how he goes after some cortisone, if it doesn't settle then he won't be back this season."
