Kevin Thomson has predicted Rangers winning last season's Clydesdale Bank Premier League will be the springboard for long lasting success. The midfielder said: "The way Scottish football is at the moment, the team that's in the ascendancy is really hard to overcome.

"I think the team who wins the league can go on and win the league year after year after year.

"With the squad we have at this club, and the manager we have at the club and the fantastic players we have, there is no reason why we can't go and win back to back titles.

"I'm pretty sure the quality of the squad is more than capable of doing that."
