Thiago Alcantara breaks Prem passing record in Liverpool debut

Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara made a significant impact on his Liverpool debut.

Thiago only played in the second half when the team was already ahead and a man up as well.

But he showed his quality, breaking a modern Premier League record for passing numbers in 45 minutes.

He completed 75 passes in the second half, managing more than any Chelsea player throughout the match.

And it appears no player has made that many successful passes in a single half since the stats were recorded from 2003-2004 onwards.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will be hoping Thiago's impact continues in the team's coming games.
