The sharpness is returning for Chelsea midfielder Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas has stated that he is close to returning to his best for Chelsea.

Fabregas had endured a terrible first half to the season but since the appointment of Guus Hiddink as manager, the midfielder has gone on to recapture his best form.

The Spaniard put in another quality performance during Chelsea's 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday and following the game, suggested that he is close to returning to his optimal level of performance.

Fabregas said: "I'm nearly there, I think I'm feeling very sharp I think my brain is much quicker than maybe the last few months.

"I struggled for a little but I don't know really why but the sharpness is back. I feel that under pressure I'm much more in control I'm not shaky.

"My team-mates made it always easier for me, but definitely in the last year probably I'm in the best form right now."
