Chelsea captain John Terry insists David Luiz and Gary Cahill both have the quality to be first-choice in Jose Mourinho's plans.
Brazilian Luiz made a high-profile error against Cardiff on Saturday to raise further questions over him defensively.
"He's got great ability," Terry said of Luiz. "He's brilliant on the ball & reads the game well. We all push each other on a daily basis.
"They're both great centre-halves. Gary has really kicked on & scores a lot of goals."
