Ten Hag 'tore strips off' Bruno Fernandes after Man Utd loss to Brentford

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag laid into attacker Bruno Fernandes after their 4-0 loss to Brentford.

The Red Devils were humiliated nearly ten days ago, when they were humbled by the Premier League minnows in ten Hag's second competitive game in charge.

United have since recovered to defeat Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford to grab their first league points after three matches.

A source told The Sun: "After the Brentford game, Ten Hag tore strips off Bruno in particular.

"Everyone thinks he's letting Bruno, Maguire and Ronaldo know they are not guaranteed a starting spot, no matter what their status in the team is."

Fernandes wore the captain's armband against Liverpool, while Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo were both on the bench.
