Ten Hag prepared to give second chance to Man Utd loanee van de Beek

Prospective Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag sees Donny van de Beek as a key member of the squad for next season.

The Dutchman, who is currently in charge at Ajax, is seen as the likely candidate to take the Old Trafford hotseat in the summer.

According to The Sun, ten Hag is already making plans with the United board regarding the summer transfer window and the players he would like to keep for next season and beyond.

The source states that van de Beek is likely to get a chance to impress, after struggling during a second half of the season loan spell at Everton.

Ten Hag has worked with the 24-year-old at Ajax, and may believe he can get the best out of him.

United are being linked with a host of midfielders, such as West Ham's Declan Rice and Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips.
