Ten Hag on Man Utd position: I never feel like I have to look behind me

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says he's never felt doubted by the club's to brass.

Ten Hag was speaking after Saturday's win against Everton.

He told Viaplay, "We have to win every match.

"That is very normal here. That is part of a club like Manchester United, it was also part of Ajax. You have to win every match there."

"And that is always our attitude. That is what we aim for.

"If you win less, you know there will be a commotion. Then you also know that you will get emotions. And opinions with emotions.

"But we have our own truth. We have to stick to that and analyze what needs to be improved. Improvement is always possible. That is the top sports mentality and we are working on it."

Finally, Ten Hag wass asked whether he feels firmly in the saddle at United.

"Oh yes, I can work here very well. I never feel like I have to look behind me. I feel that support.

"It's about forming one block together with your team. You saw that today. A great spirit, which is actually always there with us. There is a fighting mentality in this team and we have to maintain that."
