After being heckled by Arsenal supporters in the club's 1-0 victory over Wigan on Saturday, Emmanuel Eboue's teammates have vowed to help him hit back at the critics.
The Ivorian midfielder had a tough time on the pitch on the weekend and did not enjoy a very high-quality individual performance, losing the ball on several occasions along with a number of slapdash passes.
But teammates, led by striker Emmanuel Adebayor, have jumped to Eboue's defence and have faith he can bounce back.
"We all fight together and I feel sorry for Emmanuel Eboue," Adebayor told the club's official website.
"He is one of my best mates.
"The fans booed him. However, that is football.
"He is going to be back stronger than ever.
"We are all sad for him because he has been out for more than a month with an injury and it was his first game back, so it was a bit difficult for him.
"But we are all going to talk to him and hopefully he will be back soon."
