Peter Taylor is still keen on becoming Notts County's next manager. Dave Kevan has been in charge since Hans Backe's resignation in mid-December.
Former England Under-21 boss Taylor expressed his interest in the job at Meadow Lane just days after the Swede's departure.
Taylor was at Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night to watch County's 3-0 win. However, the 57-year-old insists his presence at Victoria Road was merely a 'massive coincidence'.
"I live close to Dagenham so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to go and have a look at a game," said Taylor. "I always planned to go and watch Notts County so it was just a massive coincidence it was on the same night that the club announced its news about the investment.
Taylor added: "I have admitted my interest in the job before and that is still the case. I would be a liar to say I'm not interested in being manager at Notts County."
