Teemu Tainio rates new Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul as the ideal Premiership signing.
"First of all he's a good lad and I'm happy he's signed for Spurs," Tainio told the official Tottenham website. "My last season in Auxerre was his first, he broke into the team and he's very talented.
"As I said, he's a strong guy but it's different in England, even if the strikers aren't that big, they are always strong and good in the air. He's has all the ingredients to play in England, he's a good athlete but first we have to help him settle in."
That shouldn't pose too much of a problem for the French Under-21 skipper - as well as having a decent grip on the English language, there are a number of French speakers in the Club, including Tainio.
"It will be easier for him to settle because he can speak French with a few of the players - including me," he added.
"When I went to France I didn't speak a word of French, obviously no-one spoke Finnish and they didn't even speak English! It was very hard, so it will be easier for him on that front. He's a confident lad and I'm sure he will do well here."
