Sydney FC defender Seb Ryall suggests Alessandro Del Piero remains the key for the A-League club as they enter the 2013/14 finals series.
The Sky Blues meet arch rivals Melbourne Victory in Friday night's elimination final at Etihad Stadium and despite his ageing 39 years, the Juventus and Italy legend still holds the cards according to his teammate.
"Obviously our key is Alessandro," the former Victory man said.
"And it helps us when teams do come at us. We know what to expect from them. We're expecting a tough match and we know how good they can be on the day, so we'll be ready."
Del Piero is coming to the end of his career, and this match could even be his last professional football appearance, but that has not stopped his more youthful colleagues stating that he is still the most important player out on the pitch.
