Sydney FC star Brett Emerton has a minor doubt for this weekend's A-League clash with Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium.
The marquee midfielder picked up a knock in the 2-0 loss to Brisbane Roar last weekend and has been unable to train fully over the past two days ahead of Saturday night's Week 3 fixture.
However, Emerton's quadriceps injury doesn't appear to be too severe and Sky Blues head coach Vitezslav Lavicka expects him to take his place in the line-up against the Reds.
"It's nothing serious,'' Lavicka said. ''Brett needs an extra day of recovery because he received a knock on his quad.
"It was the reason why we rested him and have put him on a special treatment program this week. He will be available against Adelaide.
''He will be all right, he just needs to be careful. He is a senior player so we need to look after him. The physio and the fitness coach are looking at him closely.''
Sydney are currently second bottom on the league table with one point from two outings whilst Adelaide sit fourth with a win and a loss.
