Exiting Sydney FC defender Iain Fyfe is intent on leaving the club on a winning high. After scoring the equaliser in Sydney's 2-1 away win over the Newcastle Jets, Fyfe said he wanted to go out with a title under his belt.
The 26-year old is heading back home to Adelaide at the end of the season and is looking forward to a winning run with his current team.
"It's the most important thing for me personally," he said.
"I don't want to leave this team and my team-mates and the Sydney fans on anything but a winning note.
"I'm going to do whatever it takes to leave here as a champion, knowing that I gave 110 per cent and knowing that I left a great club that's been great to me with another trophy in the cabinet it's how I want to end my career at Sydney FC.
"I'm loving it. I love being more of a leader and having more responsibility and it's a role that I'm really revelling in," he added.
"I feel like the more that's needed from me by the team, the better I play and I'm looking forward to the remaining games and really stepping my game up even more."
