Martin Andermatt is the latest name to be linked with the Montreal Impact head coaching role.
The 51-year old Swiss coach is being touted as a possible replacement for Jesse Marsch who was sacked in November after a disappointing debut season in MLS.
Andermatt told MLSsoccer.com: "It is a great honor for me and a great confirmation of my coaching to have been linked with a club as interesting as the Montreal Impact.
"I am in the business a long time and it is not in my nature to make a statement every time a newspaper makes a comment about me. "
Mauro Biello is the current interim coach at the Saputo Stadium whilst former Chelsea and Juventus striker Pierluigi Casiraghi has also been linked.
