Sunderland hopeful Mbunga Kimpioka is the first player from the Sirius IK academy to earn a trial with a Premier League club.

The 15-year-old starlet was spotted by Sunderland scouts playing for the academy at a tournament in Halmstad last summer.

The small club compete in the second tier of Swedish football

"He is the first player from Sirius since the academy started in 2010 we have received such a request for," Sirius Academy director Olle Andersson said.

"And if you look historically, he is probably also the first from Sirius ever to have received this kind of inquiry."
