Swansea City say their deal for Napoli defender Federico Fernandez remains on track.
WalesOnline says Fernandez is set for a move to south Wales after the two clubs agreed on a fee of over £7m for the 25-year-old last week, and he should now be available for next weekend's home clash with Burnley.
Fernandez has been linked with Swansea for a while, but boss Garry Monk stepped up his efforts to sign the defender when Chico Flores linked up with his former manager Michael Laudrup in Qatar.
In a message to supporters, he said: "Ciao Napoli. Yes ciao, because it is not goodbye forever!
"It cannot be because it is difficult to stay away from a city like this.
"A city where I found love and happiness straight away. A city that gave me so much and I tried to give the same back with the best of myself on and off the field.
"A thank you from the bottom of my heart to this magnificent city, the warm people, thank you to SSC Napoli and its magnificent fans. Thank you to everyone."
