Swansea warn Everton over Sigurdsson: We won't be bullied

Swansea City is determined not to sell Gylfi Sigurdsson on the cheap.

Swans have turned down a £40 million bid by ambitious Everton and are holding out for £50m.

Now Swansea owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien have said in a statement: “We've not received an offer which represents a fair valuation of Gylfi given his importance to us.

“We will not be bullied into a decision until a club meets our valuation of the player, no matter whether they believe they have an agreement with the player.

“Any such agreement would obviously be in contravention of Premier League legislation."
