Swansea trial Hungarian international defender Liptak

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers is hopeful of putting a deal in place for trialist Zoltan Liptak, who has trained with the Swans this week. The 26-year-old Hungary defender is available after leaving Videoton.

"We are taking the chance to look at players who could come in and add to our squad," said Rodgers.

"He wants to play, is an international player with a bit of experience and he has shown up well at training.

"He is a player who has not played a great deal and we hope he can do well. He hasn't played a game since his last international for Hungary in Sweden, but I want to give him every chance to prove he is capable of coming into the squad."
