Swansea City successfully resisted a late push from AS Monaco on deadline day for Wilfried Bony.
Foot Mercato says Monaco, after sending Radamel Falcao on-loan to Manchester United, made an attempt on Monday night to sign Bony as a replacement.
Monaco tabled a proposal of a season-long loan deal with the option to buy, but it was turned down by Swansea.
The Swans insisted Bony would only leave for a straight cash sale of €25 million.
It's understood Swansea will reward Bony for his commitment by opening talks later this month about an improved contract.
