Swansea City teammates are pushing Chico Flores' claims for a Spain call-up.

Swansea keeper Michel Vorm is backing Chico to earn an international call-up for the Qatar friendly.

The Dutchman said: "I think Chico deserves a chance. He's proving very consistent for us.

"He fought for everything against Everton, as he always does and was excellent for us.

"Chico is a defender who will not only win lots of headers in key positions and make important tackles, he's comfortable with the ball."

Swansea's only chance came from Michu, who drifted forward to force a top stop from Tim Howard.
