Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton admits Arsene Wenger's arrival at Arsenal ended his hopes as a Gunners junior.
Britton is now finally back in the Premier League after spells with Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham United.
In 1996 Arsene Wenger arrived at Highbury.
"The club changed all over," Britton told the Daily Mail. "He was bringing in young foreign lads from France, Brazil, everywhere.
"As a young lad trying to come through it was tough. It's difficult enough as it is fighting against the best British talent, let alone the world's best."
