Swansea confident signing Man Utd target Sigurdsson

Swansea City remain confident signing permanently on-loan Hoffenheim winger Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Brendan Rodgers has made it clear to chairman Huw Jenkins that he wants Sigurdsson to be part of his squad next season after his spectacular Liberty loan spell.

The South Wales Echo says though a host of clubs are reportedly interested in the midfielder, including Manchester United, Swansea now feel they are favourites to tie up a permanent move which is likely to be worth around £5 million.
